Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Jamaica

If you’re traveling to Jamaica, the best place to stay — and one of our personal favorites — is Round Hill Hotel and Villas. This boutique resort has 36 oceanfront hotel rooms and 26 private villas that range from two to six bedrooms, all of which were designed by Ralph Lauren. The suites are nestled discreetly between one hundred lush acres and pristine beaches. Round Hill is also a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, and a lead sponsor of MoBay Pride, which is a huge benefit when visiting an island that isn’t known to be the most queer-friendly.

Sandcastle on the Beach in St. Croix

The gay-owned Sandcastle on the Beach hotel is the queer destination for St. Croix. Owners Ted and Chris sponsor pride parades and drag shows and have worked hard to make St. Croix a safe place for queer tourists. The hotel is located near gay-friendly bars and offers guests several different room types to be accessible to all travelers. As an adult-only resort, the courtyard pool and surrounding area are clothing optional.

As the name suggests, Thuishaven Gay Boutique Resort is the gayest place to stay in Curaçao, marketed “for gay men and their friends.” Their on-site apartments offer either a private garden or terrace and all contain a modern and fully functional kitchen, although there is a barbecue available for public use. Their pool and garden are clothing optional, and the hotel regularly organizes small events.

Le Guanahani in St. Barts

While it’s not officially IGLTA certified, Le Guanahani is a gay-friendly hotel on St. Barts that will help you plan an abroad wedding or honeymoon. Along with its secluded backdrop, the resort offers access to two beaches, two pools, a spa, water sports activities, tennis courts, children’s programming, and restaurants. The hotel is also women-owned.

Queen’s Hotel Bar & Kitchen in Saba

Rebranded from Queens Gardens Resort, Queen’s is billed as, “The most relaxing getaway in the Caribbean” based on its secluded property and mouth-watering cuisine. While the food is a large draw, each room also has its own jacuzzi facing the valley below. There are three experience packages travelers can do: Diving, honeymoon, and experience. The hotel is popular among LGBTQ+ travelers and known as the most queer-friendly in Saba.
