Through our disruptive approach, we operate the first of its kind vertically integrated recycling and packaging production plant in North America supplying end-users in numerous product markets.

The Opportunity

TheSales & Marketing Specialistwill work closely with Sales & Marketing leadership to provide commercial and administrative support towards the selling activities, lifecycle management, and branding and communication efforts for our existing packaging offering, and any upcoming innovation launches. The Sales & Marketing Specialist will work closely with key functions across the organization including Sales, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing, as well as external resources such as outside marketing agencies or suppliers/vendors. The SMS will develop intimate knowledge of the product portfolio, the category and competitors and will be responsible for ensuring that rPlanet Earth products always reflect the strongest value proposition for success in the marketplace.

What You’ll Work On

  • General sales support
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales personnel and provide support and assistance, as needed, including:
    • Lead creative design and creation of sales collateral, such as sales sheets, for existing and new product lines
    • Manage receipt of and execution of sample requests; assist in sample inventory management and replenishment
    • Facilitate quote requests, route to the appropriate Finance resource, and manage any existing price lists across the respective product line
  • Marketing Communication
    • Assist in creating compelling marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, videos, and infographics, that highlight our sustainable packaging solutions
    • Manage and grow our social media presence by creating engaging content, scheduling posts, and responding to audience interactions
    • Assist in planning and coordinating participation in industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions
    • Ideate and develop marketing support for new product launches (incl. sales sheets, sample kits, etc.)
  • Customer Support
    • As needed, aid in preparing presentation materials and other collateral in advance of customer meetings and sales calls
    • For in-person meetings, provide proactive assistance before, during, and after the visit, including meeting room prep, tour prep, other accommodations as needed
    • Build sales and business development skillset through direct customer interaction, problem solving, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • CRM/Sales Funnel Management
    • Partner with sales personnel to actively clean up and maintain existing customer/account/lead database
    • Responsible to drive and enforce usage of Salesforce tools by outside field sales representatives, including call tracking, opportunity listings, etc.
  • Custom cup print projects
    • Keep track of and actively manage timelines and activities related to custom print projects for cold drink cups, including cross-functional collaboration to obtain all necessary internal and external approvals to deliver orders accurately and on time
    • Assist in managing inventory of packaging materials for special customer requests

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a marketing, sales/business development, or communications role
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Previous experience working for (consumer) packaging or consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies and industries, ideally with exposure to rigid plastics manufacturing formats such as thermoforming and injection molding
  • Understanding of current sustainability, recycling, and packaging trends, especially as they relate to PET as a packaging substrate
  • Experience managing tight deadlines and process management
  • Superb communication skills—verbal, oral, and written
  • Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, remotely and in-person
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Suite

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75K-$100K annually and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business needs, scope and level. 022024HR.
