How long does it take to complete Grim Dawn? ›

When focusing on the main objectives, Grim Dawn is about 21½ Hours in length. If you're a gamer that strives to see all aspects of the game, you are likely to spend around 187 Hours to obtain 100% completion.

The chance to critically strike is PTH - 90. If you have 95% PTH, you will have a 5% Critical Chance . If you have 110% PTH, you will have a 20% Critical Chance. Critical Strikes appear in different multipliers, depending on the PTH Threshold.

I thought we can now play on Elite and Ultimate difficulty even with new characters. Nope, you need to kill Loghorrean on Normal difficulty which will unlock both Elite and Ultimate now. Before it would only unlock Elite. You can still use Merit Tokens to unlock difficulties from the start.

Each time you level up, you will gain 10 Offensive Ability, 10 Defensive Ability, 1 attribute point and up to 3 skill points. You will also gain access to up to two Masteries. The level cap is 85, increased to 100 with the Ashes of Malmouth expansion. At levels 2 through 50, you earn 3 skill points per level.

b) There is no actual conclusion to the story. Yes, many of the storylines continue and are resolved in the expansions, but there's no "I've done it, all's right with Cairn now" resolution.

There's tons of content included in the base game but to get the most out of Grim Dawn I'd recommend grabbing both of the main DLC's. Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods both offer new masteries (classes) new campaign content and in the case of forgotten gods new endless content.

You can now play the entirety of the game up to the level cap on the difficulty that's enjoyable to you. To support this, level scaling has been updated on Normal and Elite difficulty. Many areas on Normal now scale up to level 100. Elite difficulty now scales up to level 100 in all areas.

You can earn up to 50 Devotion Points throughout Grim Dawn's 3 Difficulty Modes. (With the Ashes of Malmouth expansion, the Devotion Point cap is increased to 55.)

A total of 90 Attribute Points are available to each character in the base game, with an additional 15 points opening up with the increased level cap introduced by the Ashes of Malmouth expansion: With forgotten Gods it is increased to 107.

Apart from level scaling, playing on lower difficulties does not affect the quality of items at all. You might not find as many items though, since mob density is lower than on Ultimate.

Who is the final boss in Grim Dawn? ›

The Loghorrean, the Voice of Ch'thon is a unique boss creature located in the Edge of Madness. He is the final boss of Grim Dawn and must be killed to access the next difficulty and complete The Bane of Cairn quest.

Veteran mode increases the challenge on Normal difficulty by making monsters stronger and tougher. You will also encounter an increased number of spawns, with a noticeable increase in the spawn rate of champion and hero monsters.

Armor in Grim Dawn is localized. This means that when you receive a hit from an enemy, the game first rolls to see which armor slot will take the damage. It is thus important to be well equipped in all armor slots. (See Game Mechanics for more information on how armor works.)

Offensive Ability increases chance to land attacks and spells, score critical hits, as well as the damage of critical hits. An Offensive Ability lower than your opponent's Defensive Ability will greatly increase your chance to miss (chance to hit can never go below 60% for you or enemies).

Unlike debuff effects, DoTs stack from different sources and always do full damage. For example, if you apply Poison with your weapon, and then another Poison effect with a spell, both will deal full damage.

How long does it take to beat Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition? The estimated time to complete all 100 Grim Dawn: Definitive Edition achievements is 150-200 hours. This estimate is based on the modal completion time from 4 TrueAchievements members that have completed the game.

Despite being released in 2016, there was a massive patch just before the new year that brought numerous QOL changes, and there's even more content coming in 2024. This is an absolute steal and must-play if you're at all interested in the genre. Dual bilds are very interesting. Items are fun (not like in Diablo4).
