Dexter: New Blood official trailer from Showtime
Dexter star Michael C Hall will be starring in an upcoming biopic thriller that is bound to keep Dexter Morgan fans happy.
It has been 11 years since the violent serial killer drama Dexter came to an end, finishing with eight seasons on Showtime before concluding in 2013.
Actor Michael C Hall reprised his disturbing role for the mini-series New Blood but that also wrapped up two years ago.
But now, fans are able to relive the murderer’s best and worst moments with Dexter returning to Netflix on Wednesday, June 19.
And naturally, the show making a comeback to the streamer has got subscribers wondering what the 53-year-old star has been up to since.

Following New Blood’s demise, Hall featured in a podcast series called The Hacker Chronicles with his part labelled as “John Doe”, via his IMDb page.
But a new project is now in pre-production with the Dexter actor taking to the big screen.
Entitled The Leader, the movie is a true-crime biopic based on the 1997 mass suicide of the religious group known as Heaven’s Gate.
In total, 39 members of the cult died by suicide, the “largest mass suicide to ever take place on American soil”.

It isn’t clear what Hall’s role in the film will be just yet but his co-stars have been unveiled.
He is going to be working opposite actress Vera Farmiga who is behind medium Lorraine Warren in the horror movie franchise, The Conjuring.
Apart from these string of movies which include The Nun and Annabelle, she was also behind Norma Louise Bates in the prequel series Bates’ Motel.
For The Leader, Farmiga is going to portray Bonnie Nettles who was the co-founder of Heaven’s Gate.

Hall and Farmiga will be joined by Shazam!’s Grace Caroline Currey, Scary Movie’s Simon Rex and The Incredible Hulk actor Tim Blake Nelson.
Actor Nelson has been listed as Marshall Applewhite who was the leader of Heaven’s Gate.
It’s still very early days in terms of the film’s production so The Leader may not come out until late 2025 at the earliest.
Dexter is available to watch on Netflix.
